Sometimes unwanted tightness develops in our muscles that need a bit of a deeper pressure.  I always rely on client feedback to keep it at a comfortable level.  I like to keep it in the "it hurts so good" stage!

It's important to drink water before and after any treatment.  Toxins are stored in tight muscles, so it's also good to follow your massage with an Epsom salt and baking soda bath.

It is also being practiced after surgery which may help speed up the healing process.
